Responsibilities

We’re looking for a Software Engineer II who is passionate about building services that bring state-of-the-art OpenAI models to customers.

  • Design, implement and deliver Azure OpenAI services meeting Azure Standards and enterprise promise.

  • Use data-driven approach to build operational insights and drive operational excellence.

  • Oversees the lifecycle of service delivery and service monitoring, find new and innovative ways to detect defects and improve livesite quality.

  • With a focus on engineering velocity, provide our own engineers with the best set of development tools and empower every engineer on the team to do their best work.

  • Enable customers to leverage various machine learning scenarios to drive tangible business impact.

  • Provide feedback and help to improve our day-to-day development process and live site maintenance.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python o OR equivalent experience.

  • 1+ years of experience in cloud services development.

  • 2+ years of programming experience in C#, Java, or C++ with proficiency in engineering practices.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience building online services for consumers at scale and solid programming skills in C#, .NET core, Kubernetes, WebSockets, multi-threaded microservices.

  • Experience building large scale AI services.

  • Proficient with platform/API design, debugging and data analysis skills.

  • Experience in engineering methodologies: Unit testing, Test Driven Development and a firm commitment to quality

  • Proven track record of shipping high-quality software on time

  • Effective communication skills and experience in cross-group projects.

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
