MICROSOFT CORP Tax Analyst in Redmond, Washington

Plan, forecast, and develop deep business insight into revenue streams for the business. Examine, analyze, and interpret records to determine financial status of the organization. Prepare financial reports concerning operating procedures. Support and broaden the tax reporting function and provide a support model. Bridge cross-functional projects and ensure optimal end-to- end solutions related to tax compliance and reporting scope. Assist with the design, improvement, and implementation of various direct tax reporting and compliance processes. Maintain the relationship with internal and external stakeholders as it relates to gathering financial information required by the tax department. Identify opportunities to improve and automate processes that ensure the efficient management of tax technology used to guide or audit financial and budgetary data. Telecommuting permitted 100% from any location in the U.S.

Requirements:

-Education: Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, or related.

-Experience: 36 months in tax department producing income tax related reports and solutions.

-Specific Skills: Must have 36 months of experience in each of the following: Preparing, reviewing, and filing Federal tax Form 1120, State income tax returns, and related supplemental forms and schedule reporting; Corporate US tax compliance and filing requirement; State Tax issues and compliance; Advanced Tax research using RIA Checkpoint, CCH, LexisNexis Academic, and Bloomberg Tax; Preparing and reviewing quarterly tax estimates; and Managing IRS and State notices.

Pay Range and Benefits Information: The offered base pay range for this specific position (EG1949175b), based in Redmond, WA (but telecommuting permitted 100% from any location in the U.S.), is $105,000 to $135,000 per year.

Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.?  

At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.
