Microsoft Corporation Technical Program Manager II in Redmond, Washington

The Microsoft Azure Core host and fundamentals team builds and manages the software infrastructure underpinning the Azure Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) offerings. Be part of a strategic team, that is building platform capabilities to ensure the success of mission critical workloads on Azure, while helping us take on competitors.

We are looking for a Technical Program Manager II to work on initiatives around building a highly competitive platform encompassing the Azure application lifecycle, host and infrastructure platform features & Artificial Intelligence (AI) Operations and deep insights. The role will be central to key Cloud & Enterprise division initiatives on customer experience, reliability, and performance of mission critical workloads.

Responsibilities

  • You will work with customers and partner teams to identify scenarios and establish priorities.

  • You will define key performance indicators (KPIs) and establish and execute plans for improving those KPIs.

  • You will partner with the development team on scenario design, product tradeoffs against in-depth understanding of technical design and capabilities & incremental delivery.

  • You will drive cross team technical issues and customer experiences.

  • You will leverage data and insights continuously to create a competitive platform.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 1+ year(s) experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development.

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 4+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

  • 1+ year(s) experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).

Technical Program Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 - $182,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 - $198,600 per year.
