Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems – has an opening for a Level 2 in a support sector functional Business Management role. This leadership position is located in Redondo Beach, CA.

This includes management of all functional indirect, NCTA, Capital and other overhead accounts for a functional organization to meet the financial goals and objectives of the organization.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to overseeing and coordinating all aspects of Functional Business Management for a sector functional organization, indirect expense planning and monitoring, direct allocations, capital and NCTA budgeting/tracking, time charging and compliance policy guidance, manpower forecasting, support of external purchase order validations and approvals, and other activities.

Develop Business Strategy and forecasting through preparation of financial internal/external forecasts and plans, including Long Range Strategic Plan and Annual Operating Plan for indirect, NCTA and Capital planning.

Position requires in depth knowledge of Resource Planning including Heads on board, open requisitions, badged and contract labor, EQP, EWW/OT, Direct and Indirect

Lead team of business analysts, related staffing and professional development activities.

Provide direction and resolution of business issues with internal customers as well as assist in any compliance related audits or investigations.

Compile weekly and monthly cost reports and variance analysis and ability to present to leadership teams and executive management.

Builds and Maintains positive working relationships with external and internal customers.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration with minimum of 9+ years’ industry related experience or Master’s Degree in Management with 7+ years’ experience

  • Must be able to exercise influence and lead team to success

  • Ability to make independent decisions, be self-motivated, possess excellent communication skills, detail orientated and team player

  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal, with an ability to effectively communicate to all levels of management

  • Highly organized

  • Knowledge of financial reporting and accounting principles, including compliance related to different colors of money

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively participate on team projects

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to be flexible, innovative, work with speed and agility to drive tasks to completion

  • Detail orientated but able to grasp the big picture

  • Knowledge in SAP S/4, Tableau and other analytics toolsets

Salary Range: $125,500 - $188,300

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
