Ferguson is currently seeking an individual to fill an immediate need for a Sales Support Representative.
The purpose of the Sales Support Representative (SSR) role is to generate opportunities for inclusion of Ferguson’s Stormwater Management products and solutions into public/municipal and private site work projects for CA, AZ and NV. The SSR’s main focus will be to support the Ferguson Engineered Solutions Specialist (ESS) and Geo Storm Associate (GSA) with identifying and securing opportunities driven by CA Water Board mandated Full Trash Capture (FTC) compliance. The intended results of inclusion of these products and solutions are ongoing sales growth and customer (agencies, owners, civil engineers and general/site work contractors) relationships .
This position will work onsite in the San Diego or LA area.
Responsibilities
Become proficient in the knowledge of all screening and filtering products and solutions that Ferguson represents.
Assist the ESS to drive topline revenue through efforts to secure Full Trash Capture projects in the CA marketplace.
Engage in data mining and research and reach out to key influencers for product/solution usage and acceptance.
Identify key individuals within municipal agencies and engineering firms responsible for driving and implementing CA mandated Full Trash Capture solutions.
Secure and review RFPs, assist with quote requests, coordinate meetings, help manage FTC projects to ensure the correct products are delivered and installed successfully and in a timely manner thus ensuring repeat specification work and orders.
Identify CA Full Trash Capture government funded projects and reach out to the awarded agencies to offer assistance and promote Ferguson’s FTC products and solutions.
Assist the ESS with management of pipeline project opportunities including customer and prospect follow ups and efforts to obtain competitive intel.
·Attend ESS customer presentations and customer and project site meetings as needed.
·Develop an understanding of Ferguson’s portfolio of stormwater, erosion and geo-synthetic products and solutions and collaborate with the ESS on potential opportunities for incorporating into civil site work public and private projects. This includes determining the degree of acceptance of these products in collaboration with Ferguson’s key vendor partners and working to achieve regulatory approvals.
Qualifications
Prior technical writing experience, including proposals, emails, and design submittals, required
Experience with innovative products in the Geo -synthetics and Erosion control space, preferred
·Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
Strong computer proficiency including use of Microsoft applications and navigating multiple software systems, required
Basic reporting experience using Excel, including sorting, filtering, and data compilation, required
Demonstrated relationship building, customer service, and interpersonal skills, required
Ability to be flexible, adaptable, and multitasking skills needed, including the ability to balance multiple, urgent requests

Pay Range:

$20.57 - $34.39

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
