What You’ll Get to Do:

The Human Capital/Resource position will support the Army Futures Command (AFC) Assured Positioning, Navigation, Timing, and Space (APNT/Space) Cross-Functional Team (CFT). The APNT/Space CFT is responsible for enabling the delivery of advanced requirements and enabling technologies for APNT, Space, Multi Domain Operations (MDO), High Altitude (HA), and Navigation Warfare (NAVWAR). Working together with a core team of experts, the CFT informs operational requirements and technical performance through continuous experimentation and prototyping, technology integration, and soldier feedback. Through this process, the APNT CFT supports the AFC in delivering next generation weapons, vehicles, and equipment at an accelerated rate, giving Army Forces the ability to deploy, fight, and win decisively against any adversary anytime and anywhere.

More About the Role :

  • Anticipate a 12-Month term appointment with the potential to become a full-time employee or compete for a government civilian role.

  • Perform a wide variety of administrative tasks in support of civilian and military personnel across several AFC Cross-Functional Team’s from Redstone Arsenal, AL.

  • Significant experience with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.

  • Demonstrates extensive experience and judgement to plan and accomplish HR goals and performs a wide variety of administrative tasks.

  • Liaise with Army Futures Command Headquarters and Civilian Human Resources Agency in workforce planning, supporting talent acquisition, development, and recognition programs.

  • Perform military personnel management requiring expertise in awards processing, evaluation management, miliary personnel policy, sponsorship, and finance actions.

  • Receive and analyze tasks received from higher headquarters, business and operations, providing sound consultation on complex projects as the top-level contributor.

  • Simultaneously tracks and report the current status of multiple projects and information requests, ensuring on time response and delivery by the customer.

  • Collect and compile technical information into clear, readable documents to be used by technical and non-technical personnel.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizen

  • Active Secret clearance REQUIRED .

  • Minimum of a High School/GED diploma or equivalent.

  • REQUIRES 10 - 12 years of experience in military and/or DoD civilian HR personnel management fields using their applicable HR systems.

  • Experienced in providing high-level administrative support to technical and/or General Officer level management staff in an Army or other military environment.

  • Experienced with Army Protocols.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).

  • Military HR experience will REQUIRE Integrated Personnel and Pay System (IPPS-A); Evaluation Entry System (EES); Evaluation Reporting System (ERS) knowledge.

  • DoD Civilian HR experience will REQUIRE Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration project (AcqDemo); Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS); AutoNoa (performance and monetary awards processing) knowledge.

  • Familiar with SharePoint Systems (uploading, database updates, editing, etc.).

  • Familiar with Microsoft TEAMS.

  • High attention to detail with the ability to multitask and quickly pivot.

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have :

  • Experience in pay for performance management systems

  • Familiarity with the Army Career Tracker (ACT); Force Management System Website (FMSWeb) and Officer Assignment Interactive Module (AIM 2.0)

  • Experience in hiring systems such as USA Staffing; Fully Automated System for Classification (FASCLASS), Army Benefits Center (ABC) are a plus.

  • Familiarity with staff operations in Army.

  • Army Headquarters level experience a plus.

Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$49,500 - $101,300
