About the Position: Logistics Management Specialist (Sourcing) in Army Materiel Command (AMC), responsible for developing governance and guidance for the sourcing functional area, communicating a unifying strategic vision, and periodic reviews for process control and continuous improvement opportunities. Responsibilities Develop guidance and governance policies for sourcing processes and policies across organization. Develop of concepts, broad supply chain doctrine, programs, and systems to sustain optimum outcomes for effective materiel and supply chain management. Partner with the acquisition community to integrate acquisition sourcing planning of Class II and IX repair parts. Review sourcing function to determine process and continuous improvement opportunities. Chair feasibility study proposals for new or changing logistics processes and systems that affect the sourcing functional area. Manage and deliver repairable products and services to enable and sustain systems for operational readiness. Primary advisor to the Director on the status and trends relating to sourcing. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience at the next lower grade which includes: Supporting depot maintenance plans, materiel management, supply planning, and demand forecasting within supply chain management; Managing life cycle of weapons, materiel, or information systems; Collaborating with acquisition community to ensure Intergrated Product Support; AND Analyzing requirements of supply data systems.
