This position is for a logistics team member to drive/haul explosives in support of Raytheon Redstone Missile Integration Facility. Raytheon uses several DOT vehicles including but not limited to flatbed truck, box/van trucks, rear tandem axle truck to pull 53-foot Conestoga trailer to haul several different types of explosive materials. Forklift operation is also a crucial component of this role. Personnel assigned to the Material Handling crews perform tasks such as inventory/cycle counts, systematic processing of physical movements in PRISM/SAP, spotter, loading/unloading trucks, vehicle/equipment inspections, filling out paperwork, among other similar tasks. Maintaining inventory accuracy, keeping material flowing, and not sitting still is a vital component of this role. Job will be performed on the Redstone Arsenal at the Raytheon Redstone Missile Integration Facility located in Huntsville, AL.

* 1st shift - 6:00am – 3:00pm – Redstone Arsenal, AL. This position is an onsite role.*

What you will do:

  • Willingness to work with explosive items.

  • Perform accountability movements and service order monitoring within SAP/PRISM.

  • Perform physical validation and systematic processing of inventories/cycle counts.

  • Liaise with manufacturing engineers, production control, and packaging engineers to resolve problems with material to keep it moving into and out of the factory.

  • Perform Net Explosive Weight monitoring for explosive material within the magazines/dock area.

  • Provide timely and proper Ammunition, Arms, and Explosive’s logistics services which include receipt, transport, storage, and inventory accountability.

  • Prepare explosive and non-explosive material for demilitarization, disposal, and shipment compliant with governing regulations, policies, and procedures.

  • Exercise physical security and explosive safety risk mitigation measures.

  • Ability to operate hoists, pneumatic/manual tools, and operate Hyster warehouse and CombiLift style forklifts.

  • Follow detailed work instructions and detailed processes to ensure safety and compliance.

  • Willing to complete necessary training to improve skills.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Associate degree or 2 year post high school training

  • Minimum of 6 years relevant experience

  • Commercial Drivers License Class A with HAZMAT Endorsement

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

The salary range for this role is 44,000 USD - 102,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
