nVent EHS Manager in Redwood City, California

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Be the site EHS expert and preferred point of contact for safety and environmental related inquiries.

  • Facilitate EHS program objectives by providing clear and continuous direction to the staff.

  • Manage environmental processes to ensure company and regulatory requirements are met in relation to hazardous/special waste management, water discharge & air permitting obligations.

  • Monitor EHS federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and risk initiatives; analyze potential impacts on system operations; provide operations and executive management information as appropriate.

  • Coordinate and engage plant personnel and other personnel in the identification, development and implementation of EHS goals and trainings which will positively impact and add value to the organization.

  • Manage issuance of contracts and permits as needed.

You have:

  • BA or BS degree in Engineering, Science, Safety or Environmental.

  • 3+ years of progressive experience leading safety and/or environmental management systems.

  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting.

  • Strong knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and the ability to apply such in the manufacturing setting.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Knowledge of Lean methodologies.

Pay Transparency

nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range:

$107,100.00 - $198,900.00
