Summary

The Services Product Manager for Platform Solutions is responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of service offerings that complement and enhance the value of networking, storage and compute products. This role requires a deep understanding of networking, storage, and compute technologies, market trends, and customer needs to create compelling service offerings that drive revenue and customer satisfaction.

Detailed Description

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify customer needs, competitive landscape, and emerging trends in networking and storage services.

  • Analyze market data to identify opportunities for new service offerings or enhancements to existing services.

  • Develop a deep understanding of target customer segments and their specific service requirements.

Service Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop a comprehensive service strategy that aligns with the overall business objectives and product roadmap.

  • Define the service portfolio, including service types, target markets, pricing, and go-to-market strategies.

  • Create a roadmap for new service development and enhancements, prioritizing initiatives based on market needs and business impact.

Service Development and Launch:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, sales, and marketing, to design and develop new service offerings.

  • Define service requirements, specifications, and pricing models.

  • Develop service collateral, including sales presentations, datasheets, and marketing materials.

  • Plan and execute service launches, ensuring successful market introduction and adoption.

Service Lifecycle Management:

  • Monitor service performance, customer feedback, and market trends to identify areas for improvement.

  • Manage service pricing, profitability, and lifecycle decisions, including service retirement or enhancements.

  • Develop and implement strategies to increase service adoption and revenue.

  • Sales and Marketing Enablement:

  • Train sales teams on service offerings, value proposition, and competitive positioning.

  • Provide support to sales teams during the sales process, including customer presentations and technical consultations.

  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns to promote service offerings and drive demand.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with product management, engineering, operations, sales,

  • marketing, and customer support teams to ensure alignment and successful service delivery.

  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, to facilitate service development and adoption.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in product management, product marketing, or a related role in the networking and storage industry.

  • Demonstrated success in launching and managing service offerings.

  • Strong understanding of networking and storage technologies, market trends, and customer needs.

Skills:

  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, collaborative environment.

  • Proven project management and leadership skills.

  • Technical aptitude with a strong understanding of networking and storage concepts.

Typical Experience

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in Product Line Management for complex HW and SW products.

  • Thorough knowledge of Services, Software, Open Communities, Networking, Compute, Storage technologies, Product financials, Analytics, Business Acumen, Risk Management and Supplier & Partner Management Skills.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence others.

Typical Education

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, business, or a related field; MBA preferred.

Travel internationally 10-25%, as needed, to visit customers, Celestica locations and partner sites.
