GE Healthcare Medical Technology Advanced Services Operations Coordinator in Remote, Louisiana

Job Description Summary

Responsible as the single point of contact for the real-time coordination and availability of medical devices within the covered client network. Primary objective is clinical asset management to improve equipment availability for patient care. Based on changing work situations, the role requires the ability to assess and prioritize both client and internal requests and drives customer satisfaction.

For initial program standup, Operations Coordinator will be responsible for development and execution of standard operating procedures including building related reference material and work instructions. Role will also be tasked with reviewing, assessing, and adjusting procedures and processing guidelines as needed for continuous improvement.

To be successful in the role, the ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter who collaborates and works well with both co-workers and the client, across an internal and customer-facing matrixed organization.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

· Responsible for the holistic visibility of medical devices across the client health system.

· Leverages installed real-time locations systems (RTLS) for equipment tracking.

· Works with all Medical Technology Advanced Services program areas (asset management, disinfection and distribution, asset disposition and move management) for an agnostic view of equipment availability workflows.

· Triages routine, high priority and critical customer equipment needs with the overall goals of helping reduce equipment search times for clinical partners, minimize equipment dwell times and asset deployment to impact customer equipment rental spend and drive nursing satisfaction.

· Collaborates with the service team and the asset management leader to track, manage, and measure medical devices IB accuracy and to include periodic reporting and analytics support. (e.g., regulatory reporting, standard IB related or Customer Ad-Hoc requests).

· Work within all related systems including but not limited to Nuvolo, Siebel, RTLS and disposition portals to manage and complete all work documentation. Support includes partnership with the asset management leader in execution and communication of goals via performance dashboards and other KPIs for PAR levels, equipment disposition, redeployment, rental spend, utilization, etc.

· Effectively manage and prioritize various projects with minimal supervision.

· Interact frequently with key stakeholders which will include clinical and supply chain leadership.

· Guide customer through process changes

· Measure results and assist customer to establish ongoing mechanisms to sustain those results. Role will be primarily remote with some time on-site with the service team and client stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with 2+ years of healthcare or other customer facing experience (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 5+ years of healthcare experience)

· Exceptional organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks at once

· Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.

· Critical thinking to make informed decisions on where to deploy and store medical equipment; prioritized decision making based on data plus user needs and feedback.

· Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening

  • Less than 25% travel, though potentially more in the initial phases. Territory will primarily include LA and possible travel to TX, MS

Desired Characteristics

· Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.

· Project/Program management training or experience

· System Knowledge: Nuvolo, FX, CRM, Spotfire and Smartsheet

  • 2+ years of hospital operations experience
