Novant Health Supervisor NHMG Lab Services -Remote in Remote, North Carolina

Overview

Remote; clinic visits required; MT/MLS Certification from ASCP or AMT, required.

The Supv NHmg Laboratory Services is responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of the Laboratory Services Coordinators. Employee will also assist in the evaluation of new or modified techniques when required. They will advise and assist in the orientation and training of other personnel on equipment and software as necessary. They will oversee lab services operations with HR responsibilities. Serve as primary sources for lab services Dimensions optimization and lab billing. Act as a liaison between reference labs, internal billing/coding and compliance to address billing/coding issues. Qualify as General Supervisor and Technical Consultant under CLIA 88 guidelines. Travel and reliable transportation required as the role will be expected to travel between markets and facilities; reporting to a different location throughout the work week.

Qualifications

  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Bachelor's Degree in science related field from a recognized college or university.

  • Experience: Minimum of five years of relevant laboratory tech and a minimum of five years experience in a clinic/physician office environment, required. Minimum of five years of previous supervisory/leadership experience, preferred.

  • Licensure/Certification: MT/MLS Certification from ASCP or AMT, required.

  • Additional Skills (required): The ability to work and make decisions independently. Thorough ability to communicate effectively and professionally. Ability to prioritize and manage several job functions at one time. Ability to work efficiently and accurately. Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills. Excellent customer service skills. Able to positively communicate in every arena. Ability to operate equipment at both sitting levels and/or standing levels. Effective communication skills - listening, writing, talking, and reading. Computer knowledge with emphasis on creating graphs, crunching numbers and PowerPoint presentations. Capable of working directly with nursing personnel or other clinic staff and patients. Working knowledge of EHR and LIS. Flexibility and adaptability to work additional hours or shifts. Work effectively under stress. Must possess knowledge of regulatory and accreditation agencies' standards.
