Product Sales Engineer, Geotechnical Engineering

Location: United States, Office-Based, Home-Based, or Hybrid

Position Summary:

We are looking for a talented individual to join our high-performing team of Product Sales Engineers for our Geotechnical Engineering software brands, including PLAXIS, OpenGround, and GeoStudio. You will help grow market share of the above brands in the US, Canada, and beyond through sales campaigns, social media (such as LinkedIn), showcasing success stories, discovery calls, prospecting, organizing demonstrations, and more.

In this role, you’ll get unique insights into how geotechnical engineers operate and use software solutions, and you’ll leverage this to further advance the use of Bentley products. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, results-oriented, and have a passion for delivering innovative solutions.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to promote and sell our geotechnical analysis and information management software to clients.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients in the engineering and construction industry.

  • Design and deliver Sales Campaigns and Outcome-based Live Sessions

  • Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and technical discussions to showcase the features and benefits of our software solutions.

  • Expertly use LinkedIn and other social media means to engage prospects.

  • Understand client needs and requirements and provide tailored software solutions that address their specific challenges.

  • Develop a sales pipeline and forecast all revenue by effectively following the sales process and managing all opportunities in our CRM as a daily sales tool and reporting system.

  • Collaborate with the product development and marketing teams to gather client feedback and provide input for product enhancements and new features.

  • Maintain a detailed knowledge and understanding of all commercial Offerings and software support policies.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends and competitor activities and provide insights to the management team.

  • Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and events to generate leads and build brand awareness.

  • Meet and exceed sales targets and revenue goals consistently.

  • This is a full-time role expected to work 40 hours per week, home-based in the USA.

  • Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements (https://www.bls.gov/ors/factsheet/visual-overview-of-physical-demands.htm) ). The role requires communication with managers, peers, and other colleagues of the company in person (on occasion), and by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling, and meeting functions.

  • Ability to travel 5% or less of the year.

What You Bring to The Team:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, OR equivalent Engineering or Sales experience

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience within an engineering organization or selling engineering software is preferred.

  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of geotechnical engineering principles and practices.

  • Familiarity with Bentley products such as PLAXIS, OpenGround, gINT, and GeoStudio, as well as competitors is highly desirable.

  • Excellent English language verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively present information to users and prospects via phone and web.

  • Ability to understand client requirements and translate them into software solutions.

  • Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and analytical skills.

  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Experience with CRM systems and sales tools is a plus.
