Detailed Job Description: Butler is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Process Planning Lead for large aircraft modification program. Position responsibilities:

  • Lead a team supporting creation and/or quality assurance of aircraft installation plans.

  • Effectively communicate (written and verbal) and monitor expectations.

  • Interface with customer Management, Integrated Product Team (IPT) leaders and Shipside Support engineering group and work together with Butler leadership to ensure understanding of Statements of Work.

  • Collaborate with fellow leaders and customer in developing, tailoring and deploying processes, tools and metrics.

  • Contribute to and incorporate actions from process and quality improvement initiatives.

  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel while ensuring adherence to all technical and schedule commitments.

  • Manage, train, develop, motivate and evaluate team members.

  • MS Office product usage.

  • Will work under direction of Butler Manufacturing Engineering Lead.

    Preferred candidate attributes:

  • Experience with Boeing aircraft programs and tools as well as aircraft modification programs.

  • Planning work packages produced in MESci using the BOM and CAPP modules.

  • Experience using GOLDesp.

  • Experience with adherence to AS9100 procedures and compliance.

    Planning activities are ongoing and continue in support of Structural, Payload/Interiors, Systems, Electrical and Propulsion Installation packages as described below.

  • Structural installation. Primary structure such as skin and frame installation, floor beam installation, antenna installation. Secondary structural installation consist of structural provisions, rack provisions, cabinet provisions, brackets installation.

  • Payloads/Interiors installation. Lighting installation, placards installation, emergency equipment installation, blankets installation, lavatory installation, galley installation, closet installation, sidewall installation, overhead stowage bin installation.

  • Systems installation. Installation and testing of power generation system, environmental control system, fuel system, flight control cables installation, oxygen system, hydraulic system, potable and waste water system, fire detection and suppression system.

  • Electrical installation. Routing, clamping and installation of wire bundles throughout the aircraft. This will include inspection points throughout the process.

  • Propulsion installation. Engine removal, disassemble Boeing installations, reassemble the engine, and rehang engines, test engines.
