Job Description Summary

Preparation of proposals/bids, contract negotiation and compliance with contract commitments and commercial risk assessment. Jobs at this level operate with some autonomy but are covered by well-defined Commercial policies or review of end results. The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (typically annual volume, margin, and compliance requirements).

This is a remote role that requires the candidate to work from their dedicated home office.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Project Management – Project manage cross-functional activities (quoting-pricing-contracting-reviews-approvals-RFP response-etc) to ensure on time completion of high quality, compliant, customer deliverables. Examples include… scheduling and leading group calls, management of action trackers, visual management and coordination of perspectives and approvals from internal functional partners

  • Analytics & Financial Modeling – Develop compliant, customer-centric, horizontal pricing strategies by 1) ensuring the client solution is supported by accurate and compelling data, 2) validating compliance with internal pricing policies, and 3) maximizing deal profitability. Examples include… pricing and margin analysis, national agreement compliance, inventory reconciliation, client savings estimates, total cost of ownership, leadership financial summaries

  • Solution Design – Drive collaboration across the commercial deal team to enable solution development (GE HealthCare & Non - GE HealthCare Equipment; enabled by Digital-Service-Financial Services) by leveraging insights, expertise, and a client-focused approach to align the client’s desired outcomes to a winning GEHC solution. Implement a continuous feedback loop to Value Creation, Marketing, and Strategic Pricing & Profitability Leader to determine new, standard, ways to help achieve desired client outcomes

  • Strategic Counseling – In collaboration with Region & Market Leadership, Account Executives, Strategic Solutions Executives, and Account Teams, understand customer needs and objectives while providing consultation and analysis to enable effective deal strategy. Support deal-specific client-facing collateral, such as RFPs and solution summaries

  • Opportunity Qualification – Influence funnel rigor, guide deal prioritization, and enable the ONE USCAN sales process

  • Standard Work, Process – As a member of the Deal Hub, collectively identify opportunities to improve, simplify, and automate the ITO process with the ultimate goal of winning deals in a more accelerated, efficient, and repeatable manner

  • Standard Work, Tools & Technology – As a member of the Deal Hub, collectively identify, design, develop, train, evolve, and enforce tools & technology that increase efficiency and effectiveness of the comprehensive service Inquiry to Order (ITO) process

  • Continuous Learning – Responsible for monitoring, tracking, and reporting of the critical USCAN Deal Hub metrics. Share and document National insights including win/loss analyses

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 5 years of commercial, operational, or financial experience in healthcare or related industries.

  • Project management skills including facilitation, scheduling, risk management, follow up, tracking and communication.

  • Knowledge and experience in corporate finance, pricing, and/or risk analysis

  • Proven success in combining commercial creativity, commercial intensity, and analytical capabilities

Desired Characteristics

  • The ideal candidate is either an analytically skilled commercial professional, a commercially skilled finance/pricing professionals, and/or an analytically skilled operations professional with client-facing experience

  • Detail oriented and takes pride in quality of work, while also balancing multiple tasks and priorities in real-time

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to interface and influence at all levels in the organization.

  • Experience in large scale operational process improvement and/or Lean initiatives

  • Customer facing experience and/or proven ability to understand customer's point of view

  • Ability to stay calm, think clearly, and act objectively when unexpected situations occur requiring a quick decision

  • Natural desire to identify/define a problem, analyze the root cause, implement countermeasures, and sustain the improvements

  • Maintains a positive outlook at work, accepts differing points-of-view, handles constructive criticism and conflict well

  • Demonstrates an interest in and understanding of others, values team success over individual success, listens, supports, and cares for others

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Adobe PDF.

  • Experience with Quoting tools.

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $106,080.00-$159,120.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
