Emerson EHS Manager in Reno, Nevada

Are you committed to improving workplace safety and health? If so, Emerson has a great opportunity for you! As the ESH Manager at our Reno, NV Knife Gate Valve facility, you will lead all aspects of EHS, Medical/Workers Compensation, and Security Contractors. Your focus will be on regulatory compliance, safety initiatives, and training, collaborating with teams to improve our programs.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Lead EHS, Medical/Workers Compensation, and Security Contractors.

  • Maintain compliance for all federal, state, local, and company regulations

  • Review and implement revisions of ESH processes, guidelines, programs and policies, including training train plant personnel.

  • Develop safety initiatives, compliance programs, and training programs for OSHA-required programs and general safety awareness.

  • Conduct industrial hygiene exposure assessments, manage air, waste, water compliance, and lead root cause solution sessions for hazards and safety incidents.

  • Actively participate in safety, environmental, and security teams, conducting monthly health and safety inspections and internal audits.

  • Implement Emerson Operation Excellence Safety Audits and Environmental Compliance Audits, maintaining and improving current ratings.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.

  • Minimum 2 related experience in health & safety.

  • Minimum 2 years of Project Management experience.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.

  • ASP or CSP certification is a plus.

  • Strong analytical skills, including, root cause analysis such as, Ishikawa Diagram, Pareto Analysis, Change Analysis, 5 Y’s, etc.
