SUMMARY:

The Grand Sierra is looking for energetic and customer service minded individuals to join the Spa.The Spa's nail technician guarantees guests are served in a warm, accommodating and professional manner ensuring total guest satisfaction.Guarantee prompt, courteous and team minded service throughout the entire department and adhere to all Grand Sierra Resort standards.

MINIMUM/PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma required.
• Hold a current Nail Technician License from the Nevada State Board of Cosmetology.
• Minimum of 1 year experience performing nail care services in salon environment.
• Knowledge in removable and application of gel polish.
• Maintain all inventory items and supplies and communicate needs in advance.
• Provide special assistance to all guest and groups, immediately take care of any customer complaints.
• Prior experience working with the public preferred.
• Must have ability to maintain composure under pressure situations.
• Flexibility of shift and hours is necessary; willing to work evenings until 9pm.
• Must be willing to learn and work in additional areas.
• Must train in all related treatments as created.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee: must be able to maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, team members and others. Is regularly required to sit; stand; walk and move through all areas of the casino; speak and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel. May reach with hands and arms above shoulder level; bend/stoop, squat, balance, kneel, lift and push/pull. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance visions, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

• Analyze patrons' nails to determine and recommend appropriate treatment.
• Treat clients in professional setting with strong effort placed towards providing a quiet and relaxing atmosphere.
• Demonstrate, educate and sell related retail products.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe environment.
• Consult with clients about any health concerns, allergies and products they are currently using to determine any contraindications.
• Perform all nail care related treatments on spa menu according to treatment protocol.
• Prepare products, supplies and equipment as stated in protocols.
• Achieve weekly retail sales goals.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
