The Material Control Specialist is an integral part of the Curia team and will be responsible for all shipping documentation, logistics, inventory processes and procedures, organization and inventory control to support chemical manufacturing site wide. The Material Control Specialist III will be responsible for tasks associated with shipments, inventory accuracy, cycle counts, system transactions for inventory, investigations, documentation and supply chain functions. In addition, the Material Control Specialist III will be able to prioritize their daily work, execute all tasks, communicate effectively and be committed to results and service.

    In this role, you will:

  • Input and maintain all finished, raw and factory supply inventories on computerized inventory control system as follows:

  • Allocate raw and packaging materials to Chemical Manufacturing, adhering to FIFO System (material transfers, pick lists).

  • Generate all computerized receiving reports for incoming materials; i.e., raw, packaging,

  • Factory supply items, as well as the manual generation of receiving reports (Receipt Travelers) for all incoming miscellaneous materials.

  • Maintaining hard copy file for items listed in a) and b).

  • Compile, organize and maintain:

  • Material transfers that document material movement within the plant

  • Receiving reports

  • Support planning, organization and overall Continuous Improvement efforts related to the Pole Barn and other areas as needed.

  • Maintain data integrity of the Oracle system, specifically information related to inventory adjustments, zero/negative balances and material transfers.

  • Cross train on key office tasks related to material receiving and product shipping, including Oracle receiving, documentation, material allocations, packaging specifications and shipping.

  • Process material allocations made by manufacturing buildings in support of batch production. Runs reports and verifies materials are allocated in FIFO or as required by the campaign/project.

  • Initiate, review and verify AD’s insuring materials set for destruction are accurate and in suitable condition for safe transfer off site. Maintain all original copies and supporting documentation.

  • Assist with all duties required to process controlled substance movements, repacks, samples and shipments.

  • FTZ/ Customs as well as the new DEA compliance process

  • Documentation and communication for multiple carriers to ship exports and receive imports.

  • Prepares documents for Air and Ocean shipments (ISF) to our couriers.

  • Weekly and monthly communications with US Customs agents for FTZ imports and exports as well as Filing paperwork on a monthly basis with Customs to show what inventory was shipped and received for FTZ product.

  • Communicates directly with customers to ensure no issues with shipments occur.

    Qualifications:

  • Associates degree and/or minimum 2-3 years’ experience in order processing, materials handling/distribution

  • Comprehensive knowledge of inventory control systems, packaging and distribution.

  • Proficiency in software related to Windows including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Knowledge/experience with Oracle ERP system preferred including Order Management and Inventory modules.

    Pay Range: $46,000 - $57,984

    Education, experience, location and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
