Renton Technical College Dean of Nursing in Renton, Washington

RTC is hiring for a Dean of Nursing! RTC is seeking a passionate individual who will be responsible for the leadership and direction of the Registered Nursing and Nursing Assistant programs within the Allied Health division of the college. This position is responsible for oversight of curriculum and development, scheduling, national accreditation, advisory board development and marketing of the programs. The position also has responsibility for supporting the retention and recruitment of students, including collaboration and contribution towards the college operational and strategic plans.

The Dean of Nursing is a full-time exempt position. The Dean of Nursing will report to the Vice President of Instruction. *The salary range for this position is $130,000 - $151,000 annually. The anticipated hiring salary range is between $130,000 - $142,000 annually. The priority consideration date for this position is February 3rd, 2025. We anticipate the successful candidate to begin May 1st, 2025. *

Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions Include

Demonstrate multicultural competence (including an awareness and understanding of historically minoritized populations) and create an educational and work environment that affirms commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion. 

Provide leadership and administrative oversight for the college's Registered Nursing and Nursing Assistant Programs that ensures consistency with current, changing and future needs of students and the community.  Evaluate and modify the operation of existing programs and courses in accordance with national and state level Nursing Boards, to maintain or improve instructional quality and to assure adherence to standards, college and instructional goals, and learning outcomes. Ensure that assessment findings of each program insure that all applicable accreditation standards, and their documentation, are met.

Provides leadership in working to improve access and successful educational outcomes for diverse student populations, including non-native English speakers and those under-represented/ under-served in order to serve the mission of the institution.

Lead the national accreditation process in collaboration with the Vice President of Instruction and members of Nursing faculty.
