Job Functions / Responsibilities Manage a comprehensive safety program including prevention, inspection, investigation, and recording of incidents and related costs. Detect hazardous conditions, track and measure results and recommend as well as implement appropriate actions. Collaborate with the medical team to ensure consistency and accuracy in case management and reporting Ensures the workplace is in compliance with OSHA/WISHA and other state, local, or industry specific regulations and that periodic safety audits are conducted. Provide leadership, training, and analysis to leaders, managers, and employees in the identification of potential hazards and accident prevention. Oversee the Division's OSHA/WISHA and worker's compensation programs, including investigations, reporting, and collection of information for claims management. Work closely with Manufacturing/Environmental Engineering to develop and implement preventive or corrective measures relating to processes, machinery layout, plant ergonomics, and chemical procurements. Actively monitor, evaluate, and manage proper PPE needs for the plant. Proactively streamline safety processes and automate as appropriate. Oversee the safety committee ensuring effectiveness.
