Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Renton, Washington. This position is in the Banking industry and involves a blend of on-site and remote work. The role primarily involves accounting duties, with an emphasis on journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and proficiency in Excel.

Responsibilities:

• Handle journal entries and general ledger reconciliations

• Assist with month-end closing procedures

• Review journal entries and fixed assets

• Manage official check reporting and stay updated on Washington state requirements

• Balance work and assist with official check reconciliations

• Utilize PeopleSoft for general ledger management and DNA for call system operations

• Leverage Excel for various tasks, including the use of pivot tables and v-lookups

• Collaborate with the accounting manager for reporting and task delegation

• Ensure all accounting tasks are executed accurately and efficiently. Requirements • Proficient in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP)

• Comprehensive knowledge of General Ledger management

• Experience in preparing and posting Journal Entries

• Skills in conducting Bank Reconciliations

• Ability to prepare Journal Entries accurately and efficiently

• Proficiency in using PeopleSoft for financial management

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Must adhere to professional standards and confidentiality guidelines.
