Senior Field Service Representative Seattle South

The primary purpose of the position is to provide direct on-site emergency service, preventive maintenance and installation support to end user customers while ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction. The position is also responsible for assisting in reaching Service Zone Revenue targets with work group sales responsibilities ranging from 1 to 2 MM dollars and to communicate product sales opportunities to Sales and Applications team’s members as needed. Willingness to acquire and use sales skills is a must. Difficulties include extensive travel (50000 to 75000 driving miles per

year), working with contaminated products, exposure to X-rays and Magnetic fields, sick patients and the need to lift heavy equipment (over 50lbs). Typical workweek approaches 50 hrs and on-call duty as needed by Zone Service manager.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Senior Field Service Representative, South and East Seattle, are to:

• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs and installation at end usercustomer sites using approved Bayer documentation.

• Schedule and organize own work activities, ensure efficientoperations

• Organize and re-order inventory valued at $20K to ensure qualitywork and low incident of defective or incomplete on-site customervisits.

• Responsible for proper return of all defective inventory forreplenishment

• Price service calls, offering discounts or converting to fullcontracts when needed

• Prepare and develop sales quotes and follows through to close thesale. Call end-user customers, purchasing agents and Bayer dealers tofinalize and ask for the order.

• Interfaces heavily with Service Admin/MSRC billing processors toensure proper & timely invoicing. Responsible to assist in collection activities in given territory.

• In some cases, generates customer interest and communicates toService Marketing Representative

• Generates and communicates sales leads to respective sales rep fornew product or disposable opportunities

• Maintain company car and tools in good working order valued at $35-$45K. Ensure oil changes, tire rotation, etc.

• Ensure all proprietary info is safe guarded from non-Bayerpersonnel, includes: Service & Training Manuals, Diagnostic andCalibration software, BIT keys etc.

• Assisting in on the job training and mentoring for new hires

• Serve as a role model example to new hires for delivering 100%customer satisfaction, technical excellence, & outstanding financialresults

• Utilized to help resolve difficult/intermittent technical problems

• Relied upon to be zone champion for new product launch support

WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications:

• High school / GED

• Troubleshooting electronic/electrical devises;

• Soldering Skills;

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications;

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics;

• Working knowledge of inventory management skills.

• Must hold a current, valid, and unrestricted driver's license;

• Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as emergency off hours as required to support a 24/7schedule;

• Able to lift and/or push over 30 pounds;

• Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time;

• Be able to frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, and stand for long periods of time

Preferred Experience:

• Associates degree in electronics, mechanical engineering, biomedical equipment technology, IT networking, computer science or relevant discipline

• Basic knowledge of SAP 2 to 4 years

• Previous Medical electronics background 2 to 4 years

• Troubleshooting electronic/electrical devises 2 to 4 yrs

• Soldering Skills 2 to 4 yrs

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications 2 to 4 yrs

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics 2to 4 yrs

Employees can expect to be paid a salary of between $68,000 to $90,0000. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certification.s, and other relevant factors.
