NVR, Inc. is seeking an IT Operations Manager to join our NVRT Operations team to work onsite at our corporate headquarters in Reston, VA.

As an IT Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing IT asset provisioning and identification, implementing solutions, and handling vendor management to support IT systems across all NVR locations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the correct delivery and management of essential IT services. Leveraging your experience, you will ensure that all NVR locations utilize technology solutions efficiently to assist our customers in buying their dream homes.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Business Site Services team to ensure the successful delivery, implementation, and continued use of IT resources to all NVR locations.

  • Assist in the creation of annual IT budgets and procure IT equipment and professional services in accordance with NVRT Procurement policies.

  • Manage IT projects by coordinating with internal and external resources and reporting to project stakeholders

  • Develop departmental policies, processes, and procedures documentation, and provide internal training plans to the department and impacted users.

  • Manage department team members, including performance and training assessments. Assist in the development of IT staffing plans and professional growth opportunities.

  • Align team with current and future business requirements and strategic goals

  • Prepare management reports on departmental activities, tasks, and operational metrics.

  • Highly autonomous, very detail oriented, possessing strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Possess strong team mindset to help others with their tasks

  • Excellent judgement and analytical skills; ability to prioritize tasks based on fluctuating needs

  • Ability to work with established best practices to refine operational procedures, develop new tools, and think proactively and innovatively. \The desire and ability to work in an ambiguous, collaborative environment is essential for success.

  • Experience with IT best practice frameworks (PMBOK, ITIL, LEAN, AGILE) and Operational Excellence concepts or methodologies is a plus

  • Possesses a strong understanding of customer and employee needs, business vision and strategy.

  • Builds relationships and collaborates with cross-functional team members.

  • Values spending time with business users to understand use cases, define success criteria and aid in user adoption, employee experience and ultimately the customer experience.

  • Communicates effectively both in writing and verbally with teammates, peers, and leadership.

    Required Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience in IT service management

  • Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage teams and drive operational efficiency

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on customer service and technical resolution

  • Proven experience in field operations management

  • Proficiency in budget management and financial reporting
