Comscore Product Manager, Digital Audience in Reston, Virginia

Develops plans and roadmaps for new and existing products with the goal of enhancing Comscore’s offerings to meet market demand. Translates business objectives into developmental requirements. Breaks down business goals into discrete actionable system changes and new development requirements. Has a keen understanding of Comscore’s positioning in the marketplace and strategically develops new products to increase client and industry penetration. Continuously improves Comscore’s position and recognition as the preeminent leader in its market space.

Key Activities:

  • Analyzes market and competitive landscape to identify product features to build into our offerings

  • Autonomously manages day-to-day work; brings projects and tasks to a timely closure

  • Establishes the order and priority in which projects are to be done

  • Prioritizes emerging technical advances and translates to product development opportunities

  • Writes white papers and case studies, potentially in conjunction with clients or industry leaders

  • Trains new employees and mentors others

Core Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business, or related field

  • Master’s in engineering or related field or MBA preferred

  • 3-5 years Product Management experience

  • 1-2 years experience with Comscore’s offerings, systems, tools, methods, data and people

  • Polished communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to write concise and persuasive business arguments; able to back-up proposals with appropriate research and data

  • Driven self-starter with an appetite for new challenges

  • Proven leadership ability and evidence of positively influencing cross-functional teams

  • Strong analytical and data management skills

  • Ability to apply creative solutions toward solving problems

  • Ability to work with diverse teams (Sales, Research and Developers) to convert product ideas into requirements and prioritize development to produce maximum ROI

  • Understanding of market research and its application to media planning

This is a highly visible role with the Comscore Digital product team. You will be responsible for leading initiatives for various products within the Comscore Digital product vertical, including from the industry-leading Media Metrix Multi-Platform product suite.

You will manage product lifecycles and delivery from ideation to launch, justify new product development or investments in existing products, determine and document product requirements, and support the sales and product service teams. You will be a cross-functional leader both within Comscore and externally in the industry.

Prior experience in digital advertising (either buy side or sell side) or prior experience in digital audience measurement is highly recommended.
