Responsibilities

Oversees the delivery/execution of numerous programs and associated resources to our customers within the constraints of schedule, features/functionality, and budget during one or more key lifecycle segments: opportunity, delivery or operations. Candidate must possess financial acumen and be adept at concurrently managing multiple projects/customers.

  • Manages the complete lifecycle of large and complex projects:

  • Establishes a strategy for continuous risk management that enables proactive decisions and actions throughout the project life cycle and creates an environment to support it where the project team has visible, measurable, and repeatable processes for managing these risks.

  • Responsible for planning, executing, and controlling:

  • Scope of project work, work objectives, deliverables, development of duration estimates and schedule, development of cost estimates, performance management of scope, schedule, resources and cost, project infrastructure to support communications and information needs, use and reuse of IP, identification of Microsoft recommended practices and process improvements.

  • Project management in one or more key lifecycle segments: opportunity, delivery or operations

  • Manages Microsoft technical personnel in execution of project work

  • Monitoring and reporting on milestones as they relate to individual projects

  • Manages execution in the delivery of a product/service/solution

  • Utilizes Microsoft recommended practices, lessons learned and IP from projects as appropriate for project delivery

  • This role requires working in-person onsite with customers 80% of the time, with some time spent at the Microsoft Reston office.

  • Work will be conducted in the Northern Virginia area (Herndon, Reston, Chantilly, McLean).

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field AND 3+ years experience in project management

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • Experience with Intel customers in Northern Virginia.

  • Experience managing complex and/or multiple projects concurrently.

  • 3+ years financial management experience (forecasting, tracking and reporting).

Other Requirements

The successful candidate must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with Polygraph. Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. Failure to maintain or obtain the appropriate U.S. Government clearance and/or customer screening requirements may result in employment action up to and including termination.

Clearance Verification: This position requires successful verification of the stated security clearance to meet federal government customer requirements. You will be asked to provide clearance verification information prior to an offer of employment.

Cloud Screening: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of U.S citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport, or other approved documents, or verified US government clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Consulting Project Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $97,800 - $189,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,200 - $199,400 per year.
