Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 45-2092 Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery, and Greenhouse such as: Record information about crops such as pesticide use, yields, or costs; Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Set up, repair, maintain, and operate irrigation equipment; Inform farm managers of crop progress; Identify plants, pests, and weeds to determine the selection and application of pesticides and fertilizers; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and primarily John Deere self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) such as sprayer, combine, grain cart, tillage tool to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as corn, wheat, milo, soybeans, silage; Load inputs and drive trucks to transport to employers fields, load employers crops and drive trucks to transport to fields and storage facilities such as elevators, bins, silos, piles/bags in close proximity to the farm; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Regulate conditions; Feel plants\' leaves and note their coloring to detect the presence of insects or disease; Maintain inventory; Haul and spread topsoil, fertilizer, and other materials to condition soil; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery; Attach implements using hand tools; Weigh containers and record weights and identifying information; Guide products on conveyors to regulate flow through machines, discard rotten items; Position boxes/bags at ends of machinery to catch products, remove and close full containers; While not required for operating or repairing machinery, workers that drive truck to transport crops from fields to storage may possess a CD; Speak and understand english.

Reimbursement for transportation and subsistence is also offered. Transportation will be provided at no cost to workers, from employer-provided housing and, if applicable, centralized pick-up points to the places of employment at the beginning of each workday and back at the end of each work day.
