Atlantic Emergency Solutions is seeking full-time Heavy Truck/Diesel Mechanic for our Columbus Service Center.

 

Our Heavy Truck/Diesel Mechanics are responsible for:

  • Analyzing malfunctions and repairs.
  • Rebuilding and maintaining fire and emergency equipment. This includes, but is not limited to the units, pumps, compressors, and generators.
  • Operate and inspect machines or equipment to diagnose discrepancies.
  • Dismantles, repairs, reassembles vehicles or equipment utilizing hand tools and hoists.
  • Examines parts for damage or excessive wear using precision measuring equipment.
  • Repairs, rebuilds, overhauls, replaces defective assemblies and components such as collector gear boxes, transfer cases differentials, and both water or hydraulic pumps.
  • Tests overhauled equipment to insure operating efficiency. Welds broken parts and structural members.
Requirements

Successful candidate will have at least three years of prior experience in the heavy truck/diesel industry, along with being able to lift up to 30lbs without assistance. Pre-employment drug screening and satisfactory driving record required. Additionally, Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Class B with a tanker endorsement is required or must be willing to obtain. ASE Mechanic and EVT certifications as well as state inspection license a plus.
