Summary

The Long-Range Planning Manager is responsible for overseeing the Customer team’s strategic planning process and developing long-term, multi-year strategies to ensure growth and sustainability. This role requires a deep understanding of business operations, market trends, and financial analysis to formulate robust plans that align with Customer & Marketing objectives. It plays a crucial role in shaping the future direction of the organization through thoughtful analysis, strategic foresight, and effective communication. This position offers an opportunity to influence decision-making at the highest levels and drive sustainable growth and profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Lead the development of long-range strategic plans in collaboration with senior management and key members. Translate company goals into actionable plans with clear objectives and turning points.

  • Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and threats. Use this information to recommend pivotal initiatives and adjustments to long-term plans.

  • Financial Modeling: Develop financial models to assess the feasibility and potential outcomes of pivotal initiatives. Evaluate investment opportunities, cost implications, and financial forecasts to support decision-making.

  • Risk Management: Assess risks associated with long-term plans and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics to anticipate challenges and opportunities.

  • Performance Monitoring: Establish metrics and key performance indicators to track progress against strategic objectives. Regularly review performance data and prepare reports for senior management to facilitate informed decision-making.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with departments across the organization, including finance, operations, marketing, and sales, to gather input, align strategies, and ensure implementation of long-term plans.

  • Communication and Presentation: Present strategic plans, findings, and recommendations to leadership and executives. Clearly communicate complex information and strategic insights to key members at all levels of the company.

  • Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry standard methodologies, market trends, and technological advancements. Recommend process improvements and refinements to enhance the effectiveness of the long-range planning process.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of related experience. Previous experience in financial analysis and market research is highly desirable.

  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills, with the ability to interpret data and trends to inform strategic decisions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and influence key members.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive consensus in decision-making processes.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a similar field. Master’s degree preferred.
