Key Responsibilities
Testing inbound cylinders for gas purity and type, data entry of test results
Collaborate with the Lab for troubleshooting results
Operating Micro GC equipment
Sorting and weighing cylinders by product type for pre-production
Inspect cylinders prior to filling, fill based on pressure and weight
Other duties as assigned
Experience, Knowledge, and Qualification
Essential
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Must be able to obtain EPA 608 Certification within first 6 months of employment
Must be available to work at least 40 hours per week and be available for overtime hours
Must have high attention to detail to receive, inspect, and certify incoming and outgoing cylinders
Must be able to follow standard operating procedures
Must be able to handle high-pressure and liquid cylinders
Previous experience working with compressed gas and/or gas cylinders is a plus
Physical Requirements
Frequently pushes, pulls, moves and/or lifts up to 50 pounds independently
Sitting 10% of the day; standing and/or walking 80-90% of the time
Lifting/Carrying from one level to another approximately 20%
Occasionally moves cylinders that weigh up to 200 pounds with four-wheel cart
Frequently ascends/descends stairs and/or ladders, occasionally carrying materials weighing up to 30lbs
Frequently identifies written information on cylinders such as serial numbers, manufacture date, etc.
Frequently operates a computer using a traditional keyboard to input detailed information such as serial numbers
Manipulations (seizing, holding, grasping or otherwise working with hands) up to 50-75% of the day
Frequently drives a motorized vehicle or powered industrial truck (i.e. Forklift) and safely mauver in restrictive spaces
Stooping and kneeling up to 20% of the day
Frequently communicates detailed information to others. Must be able to exchange accurate information that others can understand.
Constantly works in environments with uncontrolled climate and frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions
