Insight Global Budget Manager in Richardson, Texas
Job Description
The successful candidate will possess broad business acumen in addition to the theoretical and practical application of program management and financial tracking principles. Thoroughness and attention to detail will be paramount, to ensure that various financial and project metrics are used consistently and deviations from budget are identified early. Outstanding partnership management and communication skills with all levels of management through senior leadership are essential, as is the ability to influence across the enterprise.
Responsibilities
Planning, organizing, directing and tracking all aspects of IT budgets.
Tracking program performance at various levels including Portfolio, Business Unit, and Master Project and calculating metrics such as total budget, and capital/operating expenses, with views highlighting budget and forecast variances.
Supporting IT leaders and business partners with reports and management activities associated with labor outsourcing (onshore, nearshore, and offshore).
Performing budget and team allocation transformation between project and product focused delivery approaches.
Empowering teams and stakeholders with information to support effective project management and strategic business decisions.
Developing and best-in-class tools and processes for managing project hours and budgets and rolling these practices out to partnered project managers for implementation on their projects.
Developing reports and visibility to create transparency between teams, leadership, and business partners.
Improving predictability by identifying trends through enhanced financial data.
Enable proactive identification of risks and opportunities using data.
Job Requirements

Skills and Requirements
Background in IT program management, budget management and execution.
Exceptionally strong attention to details.
Exceptionally strong reporting capabilities, including merging of data from disparate sources, identification of differences between different views of the same values from different sources, Excel spreadsheets and pivot reports, and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of Technology Business Management (TBM) concepts and approach to translating IT spend into the corresponding business value.
Demonstrated ability to drive large-scale change management within a complex organization.
Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, and experience applying these skills to resolve technical issues.
Expert collaboration and partnership capabilities.
Ability to build trust and relationships up, down, and across the organization.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to operate effectively in a large, complex, and diverse global organization.
Ability to adhere to the highest ethical standards including honesty, integrity, dedication, and leadership.
Experience
Required: Minimum of 10 years of experience supervising budgets and/or financial management for IT divisions with a total budget value of over $100M.
Experience with financial metrics (capital vs expense, cost center allocations, GL determination) and budget management responsibilities within delivery organizations.
Experience with Apptio, or alternative Technology Business Management tools is a strong plus.
Experience with allocating labor (ie project work) and non-labor (ie software/hardware/cloud) to appropriate cost centers.
Bachelors Degree in IT or finance fields. null
