Job Summary
Your success in this role will require you to have an excellent understanding of scheduling best practices, resource & cost-loaded scheduling, overall construction project controls as well as interpersonal skills to be able to work closely with the internal stakeholders of the project team daily.
As the scheduler you will take responsibility for end-to-end delivery and management of the schedules, client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met through the delivery of a value-added service.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilize Primavera P6 scheduling software to update and document schedule performance
Communicate effectively to support all field staff, scheduling consultants and the client to ensure efficient and accurate schedule development and update.
Read construction documents and perform quantity take offs as needed to develop a schedule.
Develop Work Breakdown Structures and work with project staff to facilitate development of the project schedule.
Meet with Subcontractors as required in development of baseline schedule, monthly updates and recovery schedules
Evaluate the performance of the project by analyzing significant schedule, budget and/or resource variances from the baseline plan
Create reports for project executives, including the corporate report
Analyze delivery impacts, time extensions, claims, etc.
Participating in Division training seminars
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering preferred or equivalent years of experience in Project Scheduling
Primavera P6 certification ideal, with scheduling experience is a must along with other supporting software
Must have 3-5 years of commercial construction scheduling experience
Proficiency in developing, resource loading, analyzing and reporting on project schedule
Strong organization and communication skills a must
