Job Description:

Preparing and connecting coaxial and fiber optic type cabling

Performing cable verification and mining operations during removal.

Preparing cabling for termination to various pieces of telephony hardware.

Basic wiring functions by running and securing copper, fiber optic and coaxial cables.

Assembly, erection, mounting and alignment of common Central Office and Datacenter hardware.

Mounting and labeling a wide variety of telecommunication units, terminal blocks, and interconnect panels.

Performing complex wiring operations.

Preparing, connecting and testing coaxial and fiber optic cabling.

Performing cable verification and mining operations during removal.

Interpreting job specifications, floor plans, equipment and wiring drawings.

Meeting Network Equipment Installation/Quality Standards as prescribed by Ericsson and Customer requirements.

Interpreting lay out and analyzing Method of Procedures, job specifications, floor plans, equipment and wiring documentation.

Interfacing with Supervisor/Project Manager and Engineering to resolve any order issues. Correct on site job specifications, drawings, documentation.

Performing basic installation testing, such as power verification, hardware provisioning, system testing, continuity, Cat5/6 testing and fiber optic loss testing.

Performing basic power operations such as mounting relay rack or cabinet fuse panels and perform termination of power feeders. This also includes running and terminating local power leads from fuse panels to various units within a relay rack or cabinet.
