Position Summary

This team directly impacts the lives of our pharmacy customers by creating systems that process prescriptions. The systems we work with process over 10 million scripts a day and is business critical. You can work knowing you are helping many people each day.

The IT Operational Manager position reports to an executive director and exists to develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. You will lead process improvement initiatives and drive continuous improvement efforts across the organization. You will also support the Org with managing deliverables related to ad hoc internal team management and senior management updates, participate in annual budgeting, capital processes and quality improvement activities for the organization.

What you will do:

Operations

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Work with the leaders to identify and focus on critical weekly and monthly priorities.

  • Analyze existing processes and identify areas for improvement, cost reduction, and increased productivity.

  • Plan and facilitate local meetings, staff development trainings and quarterly reflections.

  • Influence with recommendations and solutions to drive operational change to achieve goals.

  • Manage the development of quality standards, operating policies, and procedures and directs implementation of approved changes.

  • Be accountable for maintaining the appropriate metrics and risk information to drive continuous improvement of the Programs.

  • Develop and maintain governance that keeps all of Org components aligned, current, relevant, actionable and auditable.

Finance

  • Lead planning and financial/budgeting process

  • Work cross-functionally and aligns planning and budget to functional and org priorities.

Security

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, business and security stakeholders to align security & Compliance initiatives with organizational goals.

  • Monitor and analyze security trends and emerging threats, proactively implementing measures to mitigate risks and enhance resilience.

  • Collaborate with senior leaders to deliver robust resiliency strategies.

Training

  • Develop comprehensive training programs sought to enhance employee understanding of various process improvement methodologies and tools.

  • Collaborate with SMEs to identify learning needs and design impactful curricula.

  • Implement learning technologies to enhance the effectiveness of training initiatives.

Colleague Engagement

  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance colleague experience, develop communication strategies around organizational priorities and changes

  • Advise, guide and support senior leaders and managers on opportunities for productivity and organizational performance; recommend and implement process improvements to enhance engagement and compliance.

Metrics/Goals

  • Drive performance management tied to key metrics/KPIs/business drivers that provide a forward-looking view into trends requiring management decisions and actions.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track progress to goals and make data-driven decisions.

  • Establish performance metrics and monitor key performance indicators to evaluate operational efficiency and identify enhancement opportunities.

Reporting

  • Proactively identify, communicate, and mitigate both internal and external risks.

  • Communicate clearly on progress, challenges, and opportunities to all org leaders.

  • Coordinate across the organization to report and monitor the operational health.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Information Technology experience including leadership and development management experience in core development and delivery areas including the following:

  • 3+ years of experience on large or multiple application teams

  • 3+ years of experience in information technology principles, development methodologies

  • 3+ years of experience mentoring and supervising full time employees work and career development; as well as onsite and offshore vendor relationships

  • 5+ years of experience in handling vendor management, customer expectations and relationship building.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Health Care and PBM background

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$92,700.00 - $185,400.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
