Responsibilities:

  • Perform reviews of external customer specification drawings to predict yield impact of proposed RF test specifications.

  • Analyze wafer RF probe data, work with external Foundry customers, operations device/yield/test engineering to negotiate test limits for pre-production and production testing, resolve die product test specifications and limit conflicts.

  • Correlate, present, and converse clearly about various starting material and manufacturing process influences on RF performance of die designs

  • Review customer specification drawing change proposals; predict impact of RF spec changes to production yield

  • Respond to external customer concerns about die RF performance, quality, and reliability. Heavy emphasis on frequent presentations and technical discussions with external customers.

  • Determine root causes of RF Probe, nonconforming product and take appropriate action.

  • Implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate defects and nonconforming material.

  • Generaterequired Product Engineeringdeliverablesduring theNew Product Developmentand maintain throughout product lifetime.

  • Data-driven decision making based on timely and thorough data analysis.

  • Provide detailed analysesforeach major design revision during the prototype phase of development, identify key parameters needing improvement and then communicate these to thecore developmentteam.

  • Practice continuous improvement and yield optimization by trackingwaferfoundry parameters, uncovering correlations and troubleshooting process and equipment issues.

  • Employ appropriate Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles to reduce variability in product performance.

  • Support Test Engineering activities to debug, validate and release production test hardware/software.

  • Compile and analyze data using common statistical techniques (time-series analysis, CPK, DOE, SPC, ANOVA) and effectively present key results along with recommended actions.

  • Generates Yield Plans thatdeveloproadmaps to improve yield and reduce cost.

  • Engage in group problem-solving and process improvement projects (familiarity with Six Sigma or comparable methods is desirable).

  • Serve as the central technical resource for design, process, manufacturing, testandqualityfor assigned products.

Qualifications:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or comparable technical discipline (MS preferred) with minimum 7-10 years of experience as a Product Engineer.

  • Understanding of RF/Microwave theory and of semiconductor physics.

  • Knowledge of typical RF test equipment and common test methodologies.

  • Preferredexperience in a III/V semiconductor manufacturing environment.

  • Expertise in statistical methodsand common statistical software (JMP,Spotfire,Excel, etc.).

  • Familiarity with standardproblem-solvingmethodssuch as 8D or 5-Whys.

  • Must have strong attention to detail, beself-motivatedand able to achieve results with minimal supervision.

  • A team player with trong written, verbal and interpersonal skills.

  • Time management skills sufficient to balance multiple high-priority activities.

  • Prefer beingcomfortable in leading projectsand/or efforts involving diverse teams.

  • Articulate and comfortable making presentations to internal and external customers.
