About the Role:

As a CBRE Accounting Sr. Analyst, you will support accounting, analysis and reporting activities associated with benefit and compensation programs for a population of over 115,000 employees around the world. You'll serve as the finance partner for the HR Global Benefits and US Payroll organization and support the financial planning and controllership teams.

This job is part of the General Accounting job function. They are responsible for the development and day-to-day maintenance of accounting processes and procedures.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support the accounting and operations for US and Global benefit and compensation programs including payroll and its related transactions.

  • Assist the benefits and compensation areas for the monthly close which includes coordinating with Segment Accounting Teams, Business Finance, People Teams, and the Shared Services Organization.

  • Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data.

  • Work to improve accounting and reporting processes.

  • Contributes to key accounting projects and deliverables to ensure reporting accuracy and that departmental deadlines are met.

  • Assist the Benefits and Compensation team in meeting the organization’s internal and external auditors

  • Assist in the preparation of key internal financial reports; including the partnering with Business Finance (Financial Planning) to explain variances.

  • Maintain compliance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

  • Have a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.

  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.

  • Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.

  • Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

  • CPA or MBA (graduate degree) preferred, but not required.

  • Payroll/benefits experience preferred.

  • Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.

  • Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

  • Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
