HealthPartners Application Analyst and Developer, Special Applications in Richfield, Minnesota

HealthPartners is hiring anApplication Analyst and Developer, Intermediate. This position supports enterprise applications within our Care Delivery and clinics. Example systems include those supporting Neurology, Eye Care (Optometry, Ophthalmology, lenses, and related), and Infant/Perinatal monitoring systems. Incident load for the role ranges from medium to high (20 to 40 incidents) per month, and planful application work (upgrades, configuration changes, and related). Position will also participate in 24/7 on-call rotation, one night or weekend every two weeks (approx. 25 times per year). Position requires skills and expertise with business analysis and project management of small- and medium-sized initiatives, working closely with HealthPartners specialty leaders and operational partners. Position will create and maintain documentation across multiple audiences: customers, Support Center, other analysts, and senior leadership. Position will coordinate with other IT and Infrastructure teams: desktop, network, security, Epic, voice and video, platform/server, clinical engineering, and more. Position is a combination of working from home and visiting clinic or hospital locations for hardware support issues. Estimate is 80% work from home, 20% onsite. ACCOUNTABILITIES: Diagnoses system failures and corrects issues. Assesses builds and deploys software and new application functionality. Performs unit testing and assists with system and end-user test planning and testing. Develops and/or assists with test scripts; may manage the testing process, or advise business partners on testing components. Analyzes functional and technical requirements for moderate changes or enhancements and updates system designs and specifications. Drafts technical specifications based on identified business requirements. Supports 3rd party application software; interacts with vendors regarding problems, upgrade schedules, and software installations. Provides requested documentation and interviews with auditors and third party requestors. Establishes, leads and completes small- and medium-sized projects and requests specific to their application portfolio SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Working knowledge of programming languages Working knowledge of Agile methodologies Strong experience with Microsoft Office tools Strong understanding of IT infrastructure Proven ability to gather requirements and deliver output on those requirements Strong communication skills in technical and non-technical vernacular Proven ability to write technical documentation in a clear manner Experience participating on project teams, preferably from initiation through successful implementation and acceptance of application changes Expertise with more than one system development methodologies Excellent analysis and problem solving skills Able to be on-call 24X7 in areas of expertise Ability to commute to clinic and hospital locations in/around Twin Cities metro locations (standard automobile expense reimbursements apply) REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Management Information Systems or equivalent experience/training 3+ years IT analysis and technical design experience 1+ year experience coding, testing, and implementing program changes PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1 year of healthcare/ health plan experience We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.
