HealthPartners Epic Scheduling Application Analyst & Developer in Richfield, Minnesota

HealthPartners is currently hiring for an Epic Application Analyst and Developer who will support the Epic Cadence, Referrals and MyChart scheduling system functionality. This position will provide day-to-day support to our hospital and clinic scheduling, check-in and/or prior authorization staff who may use Epic Cadence, Referrals and/or MyChart to perform their jobs. This position will also be implementing small enhancements and execute on tasks in support of day-to-day operations (create new visit types, create new departments, trouble-shoot scheduling issues, etc.). This position ensures that the appropriate analysis and technical requirements are documented for applications changes. The analyst is responsible for assessing, documenting, configuring, and testing small to moderate application changes. Do you like being surrounded by highly motivated team members? If you answered "yes," then read on! Required Qualifications: Experience using the Epic's scheduling or referral applications as an analyst, trainer, or user. Bachelor's degree 1+ years Information Technology or analysis experience. Overall experience with Microsoft Office tools. General understanding of IT infrastructure. Experience gathering requirements and delivering output to those requirements. Effective communication skills in technical and non-technical vernacular. Ability to write technical documentation in a clear manner. Experience participating on project teams, preferably from initiation through successful implementation and acceptance of application changes. Expertise in at least one system development methodology. Good analytical and critical thinking skills. Able to be on-call 24X7 in areas of expertise Preferred Qualifications: Epic Certification/Proficiency in Cadence, Referrals, MyChart or other Epic applications Build experience with Epic scheduling or referral applications (e.g., Cadence, Referrals, MyChart, etc.). Knowledge of current scheduling, check-in or prior authorization practices in different health care disciplines. Previous experience delivering scheduling, check-in or prior authorization health care solutions. Knowledge of regulatory standards and implications for electronic medical record information systems (e.g., HIPAA). Accountabilities: Build and deploy software and new application functionality. Perform unit testing and assist with system and end-user test planning and testing. Assist users defining test scripts; may run software or enable printing for functionality testing. Analyze functional and technical requirements for minor changes and/or enhancements, and update system designs and specifications. Diagnoses system failures and corrects issues.
