UDR is seeking qualified candidates for Engineering Technical Specialist opportunity inRichland, WAto support the Hanford Site. Work Location: The primary work location will be at 2435 Stevens Center, Richland, WA and other Richland client offices as needed. SCOPE OF WORK This position includes the following responsibilities: Provides programmatic review and input to engineering monthly performance reporting and metric development Serves as the engineering lead for the Client Action Request screening committee Administers the Engineering procedures program, ensuring reviews of engineering plans, procedures, standards, guides, and charters are appropriately distributed across the engineering organization for review and approval Serves as document owner and author for selected engineering procedures Assists procedure owners with requirements management Serves as the Causal Analysis System Manager for the engineering organization Serves as the Liaison with the Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board (DNFSB) to track and coordinate communications with client leads, DOE, and DNFSB representatives Administers the engineering assessment program, ensuring assessments and MOPs are scheduled, tracked, and completed on time Supports the performance of Engineering assessments Serves as backup Engineering member for the Collective Significance Review process Serves as the engineering analyst supporting alignment of engineering department's requirements with management Manages the implementation of the Configuration Management Plan Assists or leads process improvement efforts related to engineering configuration control and coordinates engineering configuration control issues Performs special assignments as identified by Engineering Programs Manager and/or Chief Engineer MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED Bachelor's degree in engineering or related engineering degree is required. A minimum of 12 years' experience in engineering. Five (5) years of experience working with engineering processes and procedures (nuclear experience preferred) Experience working with engineering assessments and corrective action programs Experience communicating with executive level and external stakeholders Experience with IBM Rational DOORS Next Generation (DNG) requirement management software Familiarity with Smart Plant Foundation (SPF) software as well as engineering processes utilized by DOE contractors Experience with Operations (OE, Shift Manager, Ops Manager) Knowledge of ASME NQA-1 and other codes with regard to engineering change control Security and Badging Requirements HGET is required for HLAN access and a LACS card. Site Access and Work Hours Standard Shift: Work will be performed during the Hanford standard schedule consisting of ten (10) hours of work between 6:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. with one-half hour designated as an unpaid period for lunch, Monday through Thursday. Non-Standard Workdays: Non-standard workdays are facility closure days which are inclusive of holidays, closures due to inclement weather, and any day of the week not included in the standard shift. Any Work performed on a non-standard workday shall be coordinated and approved in accordance with WRPS internal procedures (i.e.TFC-BSM-CP_CPR-C-12).
