ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Nuclear Mechanical Planner position will be responsible for planning and preparing mechanical work packages for large- and small-scale projects to be performed by mechanical and contract maintenance organizations. This full-time position is located in Richland, WA. Pay rate: $53.68 - $79.65 Benefits: * Sick Leave: One hour of paid sick leave for every 40-hours worked (sick leave can be used after 90-days of employment) * EAP: Employee Assistance Program * Benefit Options: Medical, HSA, Group Life/AD&D, Voluntary Life/AD&D, Voluntary Short-Term Disability, Voluntary Long-Term Disability, Voluntary Critical Illness, Voluntary Accident, 401k (eligible after one year and 1,000 hours worked - employer match up to 4%) * Other benefits include the following: Calm App, Access Perks Responsibilities: * Develop and prepare clear work instructions for mechanical and contract maintenance organizations. * Provide guidance on project execution and modification implementation. * Select and approve purchase orders. * Make procurement recommendations for materials required for work package execution. * Conduct field walkdowns to identify and analyze maintenance, modification, and surveillance activities. * Provide feedback to improve work package quality. * Collaborate with Work Management, Supply, Operations, and Engineering teams. * Resolve issues related to work packages. * Specify procedures, drawings, equipment, and materials needed for planned work packages. * Prepare and submit Out of Service (OOS) requests, Risk Work Permits (RWP), plant barrier impairments, welding/grinding permits, fire impairments, Operability Impact Statements, ALARA task outs, Regulatory/Code documentation, Quality hold/witness points, freeze seal and temporary leak repair documentation, and other related requests. * Ensure work instructions are adequate and comply with station procedures, including NSPs, NSWPs, and ASME Code. * Approve and review work packages to ensure safety, quality, technical rigor, and compliance with 10CFR50.59 screening or evaluation. * Develop, revise, and review maintenance procedures to enhance work package development. * Ensure compliance with codes, standards, vendor recommendations, and maintenance direction. * Manage other system planners or contractors in developing detailed elements of work packages. * Engage in work control/scheduling meetings, planning feedback/craft interface sessions, detailed contract requisition reviews, complex troubleshooting, maintenance risk assessments, Clearance Order reviews, Planner peer reviews, and system interaction reviews. * Support applicable station processes and changes. Requirements: * A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Minimum of 6 years of experience in a technical area (e.g., maintenance, engineering, operations, maintenance planning). * OR an associate's degree from an accredited college or university. Minimum of 8 years of experience in a technical area (e.g., maintenance, engineering, operations, maintenance planning). * OR a high school diploma or GED. Technical training or education similar to that acquired through an in-grade apprenticeship program for maintenance-related work.
