The Associate Patient Services Specialist works under the general supervision of the MGR PATIENT ACCESS/SCHEDULING, performs patient registration and pre-registration of scheduled accounts, verify insurance coverage, benefits, and obtains pre-certification, referral or authorizations as needed per insurance requirements; Participates in the collection of up-front revenue due the facility and provides quality customer service to internal and external customers. Shift: Per diem/on-call positions Associate Patient Services Specialist: Required Qualifications: 6 months Customer service experience Preferred Qualifications: General office experience Patient Services Specialist: Required Qualifications: 2 years General office experience, which includes public interaction 1 year Patient access experience Preferred Qualifications: Data entry, medical terminology and insurance experience Medical setting experience Senior Patient Services Specialist: Required Qualifications: Courses in keyboarding and office practices 2 years General office experience with public interaction 3 years Patient access experience Preferred Qualifications: Courses in medical terminology Upon hire: Epic Credentialing Data entry, medical terminology and insurance experience Medical setting experience Salary By Location: Associate Patient Services Specialist, Richland, WA, United States Min: $16.28, Max: $22.57 Patient Services Specialist, Richland, WA, United States Min: $16.28, Max: $23.94 Senior Patient Services Specialist, Richland, WA, United States Min: $17.24, Max: $25.43 Why Join Providence?
