Works a variable schedule as needed to include but not limited to overtime, holidays and weekends. Conducts oversight and supervision of daily planning, scheduling and the execution of activities for the individuals that the recreation staff are assigned to execute. This includes the responsibility in planning, coordinating, scheduling, participating in and supervising all on and off campus events and activities. The Recreation Supervisor is required to assist in maintaining all recreation sites on campus. Order and maintain all necessary equipment. Involve Unit and Recreation staff in conducting scheduled recreation activities. Provide equipment and materials necessary to conduct evening and weekend activities. Monitor and maintain supplies and ensure activity supplies are available and replaced when needed. Ensures that monthly calendars and event flyers are located on the units and surrounding campus. Required to develop, maintain, and submit reports in a timely manner, adhere to all budgetary and purchase card requirements and follow all policys and procedures. Supervises the recreation staff, conducts and updates training to recreation and other staff as needed. Conducts PPP reviews for recreation staff. Conducts staff meetings and performs all other job duties as assigned also including but are not limited to actively participating and or serving in a supporting role to meet the agency's obligations for disaster response and/or recovery or Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation. Essential Job FunctionsAttends work on a regular basis and may be required to work a specific shift schedule or, at times, even a rotating schedule, extended shift and/or overtime in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.1.Provides ongoing training as needed to unit staff and recreation staff on trips, activities, events and policy and procedures as needed (10%)2. Provides TX Special Olympics training and coaching for individuals in team sports. (10%)3. Purchases, monitors, and stores equipment and materials necessary to effectively conduct activities. (5%)4. Maintains adherence to the recreation budgetary and purchase card policies and procedures. (5%)5.
