Robert Half Desktop Support Analyst in Richmond, Virginia

Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Desktop Support Analyst in the Real Estate & Property industry, based in Richmond, Virginia. The role entails providing hands-on technical support at the desktop level, including software and hardware incident resolution, system configuration, and preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents across a range of applications and operating systems.

• Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including software installation and upgrades, hardware installation, and system configuration.

• Conduct preventative maintenance, including the checking and cleaning of workstations, printers, IP Phones, and peripherals.

• Utilize remote support tools to assist users with problems and to remotely update software.

• Install and configure new IT equipment such as laptops, printers, and IP phones.

• Conduct post-resolution follow-ups to help requests.

• Perform troubleshooting and repairs for conference rooms phones, projectors, sound, cables, and wall plates.

• If unable to correct a processing error or failure, provide proper notification to the appropriate IT staff member responsible for addressing this particular problem and its resolution.

• Assist business clients with applications, connectivity, training, and problem-solving.

• Display knowledge of computer and/or network security systems, applications, procedures, and techniques. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Desktop Support Analyst or in a similar role in the Real Estate & Property industry

• Proficiency in Cisco Technologies

• Familiarity with Citrix Technologies

• Strong knowledge of Computer Hardware

• Experience in working with Database

• Proficient in Dell Technologies

• Extensive experience with Active Directory

• Ability to work with Apple Devices

• Knowledge of Backup Technologies

• Experience in Configuration Management

• Proficient in VPN Technologies

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
