Desktop Support Engineer

Job Description

Highly visible IT support position assisting executive leadership and their support staff with computing and video conferencing needs. This position will provide world class Information Technology support with strong skills and knowledge in end-user devices, software, AV, telecommunications and systems support. Essential support for executives, including c-level, at work and remote locations. Assist executives and VIPs with understanding IT security policies and provide user-friendly, simple, standard solutions complying with corporate standards. Candidate will need to have proper mannerism, clean cut and properly dressed. Candidate should be able to work regular business hours plus some nights (weekdays/weekends). Will occasionally receive afterhours support calls and will need to be able to react appropriately to those requests. Candidate will w ork with other IT teams as needed to achieve effective solutions and compliance.

Desktop Support Services

  • High touch services for all executive leaders and their direct reports including troubleshooting and break fix for laptops (macOS, Windows), network and printers

  • When required, perform proactive and upgrade/update of executive computers and mobile equipment

  • Provide training for new application/systems and breaking down complex technical concepts to high level communication.

  • As needed, create executive-ready documentation for IT related procedures.

    Video Conference Support

  • Provide support for high level executive WebEx, Teams and Zoom meetings onsite as needed.

  • Support for executive office IT equipment such as WebEx Spark boards, large displays and Polycom phones.

  • Provide VTC support whenever requested including nights and weekends.

  • Familiar and able to support executive level iPad VTC software.

    Mobility Support

  • Provide executive level support and troubleshoot iPhone, iPad and Apple watch issues.

  • Familiar with WorkspaceONE MDM and able to enroll devices.

  • Able to place orders for wireless devices.

  • When setup of replacement devices, able to backup and restore data on iPhone/iPads to near exact settings as old device.

    Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other related discipline in combination with required experience mentioned above.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience with at least 5 years in Information Systems and 3 years in a directly related position with a mid to large size company.

  • Minimum of 3 years providing executive level IT Support

  • Strong experience with Apple Devices and IOS support experience

  • Experience supporting Microsoft, Apple and Lenovo workstations.

  • Experience with Microsoft SCCM and Intune.

  • Experience supporting multifunction devices (MFDs) and printers.

  • Experience working with IT Service Management systems.

  • Experience working with IT Asset Management systems.

  • Experience working with Knowledge Bases.

  • Experience performing other Customer Service/Facing related roles is considered a plus.
