Honeywell DLA Project Manager in Richmond, Virginia

This exciting position is within the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) business within the Defense Aftermarket Americas (DAA) team. The selected candidate will be the single point of contact to interface with the DLA team to actively monitor a wide range of business operations and processes and to ensure timely resolution of business and technical problems and implementation of corrective action when necessary. Additionally, the Honeywell PM will monitor all foreseeable types of risk including supplier failure, supply continuity, material related issues, capacity limitations, plant closures, staffing disruptions and any other situations that may adversely impact its ability to meet the delivery requirements of the contract. The selected PM will perform duties that are associated to the existing Honeywell and DLA Supplier Capability Contract (SCC).

The PM serves as the Champion for the Customer within Honeywell, driving to identify customer needs and match to Honeywell product leading to near term and long-term revenue growth.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Program Manager responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to the following:

Communication

The Honeywell PM will coordinate effective communication between all SCC stakeholders and attendance at all meetings pertaining to this contract, to include (but not limited to): teleconferences, virtual meetings, face-to-face meetings, quarterly In-Process Reviews (IPRs), Joint Steering Group (JSG) meetings and additional management reviews when necessary.

Contract Administration

The Honeywell PM will coordinate various contract administration activities such as updating and providing pricing worksheets and related cost information, supplying commercial item justification (CIJ) documentation and BAA certifications, and processing modification requests and executions and any additional contractual actions (within scope) as required by the Government.

Performance Targets

The Honeywell PM will work towards meeting the contract performance targets such as:

  • Material Availability

  • On-Time Delivery (OTD)

  • Unfilled Order (UFO) Reduction

  • Production Lead Time (PLT), Capacity and Administrative Lead Time (ALT)

  • Contract Growth

  • Cost Reduction and Control

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization

Critical Success Factors

  • Knowledge of fundamental program and business management practices, ability to work effectively with ISC, Engineering, Sales, Finance, Pricing, Contract, and Customer & Product Support to achieve successful outcomes.

  • Working knowledge of business and financial fundamentals

  • Strong presentation and communication skills.

  • Ability to make sound decisions and take quick actions to execute.

  • Preferred previous experience in/with the United States Government customer.
