We are offering a long-term employment opportunity for an Insurance Follow-Up Specialist in the Healthcare industry, located in Richmond, Virginia. The role involves meticulous attention to detail and organization in processing and maintaining customer applications and records, specifically within the medical billing and insurance sphere.

Responsibilities

• Conduct meticulous data entry to ensure accurate customer records.

• Handle pre-authorizations for medical procedures and treatments.

• Correspond with insurance companies to verify coverage and resolve issues.

• Examine and verify medical billing entries for accuracy.

• Investigate and rectify any discrepancies in drug charges to ensure accurate records.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.

• Use skills in Medical Billing and Medical Claims to ensure efficient processing of customer applications.

• Provide thorough follow-up on insurance claims and patient billing.

Requirements • Proficiency in medical billing and medical claims processing

• Strong understanding and experience with preauthorization processes

• Familiarity with healthcare insurance and related procedures

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficient in utilizing medical billing software and health record management systems

• Ability to interpret and understand insurance procedures and guidelines

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Knowledge of medical terminology and coding

• High ethical standards and professionalism to handle sensitive and confidential information.
