Job Summary

This Operational Accounting Analysts position supports accounting and invoicing for commodity purchase and sale activity for various Dominion Energy subsidiaries. Primary responsibilities will include the following:

• Processing accounts payable invoices related to commodity purchases (oil, coal, biomass and natural gas)

• Researching and resolving discrepancies between deal information from trading management system and supplier invoices

• Processing accounts receivable invoices related to solar power sales

• Processing cash receipts related to commodity sale activities

• Accounting for renewable environmental credits

• Journal entries and account reconciliations

• Performs varied complex tasks with minimal supervision.

• Assist with required statutory filings

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

2-3+ years of experience in validating commodity transactions and in regulatory agency reporting preferred.

• Complete and thorough knowledge of accounting and financial principles and practices.

• Experience with commodity trading activities is helpful.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple activities, resources and time.

• Proficient personal computer skills and proficient understanding of software applications. SAP or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) experience is helpful.

• Leadership and interpersonal skills.

• Verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong Excel skills.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education.
