WestRock Company Process Manager Integrated Business Planning in Richmond, Virginia

The Opportunity:

The Process Manager, Integrated Business Planning, will manage the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process for Consumer Packaging. They ensure the schedule of meetings for the next 12 months is published, that all process meetings are effective and occur as scheduled and monitor the quality of the output of the various meetings.

This individual has responsibility for preparing materials and leading through the agenda for the monthly MBR and Joint IRR meetings, working in collaborating with sales, operations, finance, supply chain and Consumer Packaging leadership. They will also support strategy activities, including Board of Directors materials and select projects as appropriate.

How you will impact Smurfit Westrock:

  • Consolidate and prepare the monthly Management Business Review (MBR) materials.

  • Lead pre-alignment calls to prepare MBR materials. Prepare, distribute, debrief MBR content, opportunity, and solutions with key stakeholders.

  • Integrate and develop materials for the monthly Joint IRR call which brings together leadership from Consumer Packaging, Global Papers, Mills and Supply Chain.

  • Support the ongoing process improvement of Smurfit Westrock\u2019s Integrated Business Planning/S&OP process.

  • Provide analytical support to improve the quality and timeliness of IBP data and reporting for Product/Portfolio, Demand, Supply, Finance, and contingency plans and changes.

  • Publish a rolling, 12-month schedule of all process reviews.

  • Participate in the monthly Financial Appraisal process.

  • Track, monitor, and report process KPIs.

  • Support MachOne (O9) planning system implementation as needed, understanding implications for overall IBP process and making necessary process adjustments.

  • Review with process leaders any process gaps and develop improvement plans.

  • Maintain close coordination with demand and supply management especially during periods of constrained supply.

  • Support Board of Directors materials (e.g., memos and presentations).

  • Drive strategic projects as appropriate outside of the IBP process.

  • Actively participate in strategic review meetings with the Consumer Leadership Team.

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor\u2019s Degree in a related field, or equivalent experience

  • At least 7-10 years of business experience

  • Six Sigma, continuous improvement background is desirable

  • Ability to influence, lead and facilitate complex, cross functional teams

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills

  • Financial acumen and financial modeling capabilities

  • Ability to consolidate and synthesize complex information

  • Ability to present to senior leadership

  • Have or develop a strong understanding of the Consumer Packaging business, processes and operation
