Job Summary:

We are seeking a Leader in the role of Senior Process Engineer projects to join our team of Subject Matter Experts (SME), who is recognized as an industry expert and an advisor on creative & sustainable solutions for water & wastewater. Our team of SME has an overall combined experience of over 450 years among 17 experts working for the Director of Global Process Engineering group. As a SME in this role you will be working closely with the Physical-Chemical Separations Expert, and other SME's within Global Process Engineering Group to successfully set the strategy, suggest creative design ideas, review designs for new projects, support operating systems for sustainable operations and execute business plan to be part of the growth team. The successful candidate must have strong leadership skills, with breadth of expertise in water and wastewater treatment solutions for industrial and emerging markets such as but not limited to Microelectronics, Lithium and Mining, Chemicals, Oil & Gas, Power, as well as Municipal Drinking water and wastewater. As an expert and advisor, you will motivate, and guide regional process engineers, to develop creative design & solutions which are environmentally friendly, managing ecological balance with the highest level of quality standards for our customers. As a SME you will be responsible to provide technical training and share experiences with process engineers and other multifunctional teams globally.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead the process of developing new or updating existing process design guidelines and

provide training to process engineers globally.

• Accountable for smooth execution of projects while working closely with the regions to

achieve target profitability on our projects.

• Develop strategies while working with other functional leaders for alignment on existing and new products to offer creatively sustainable solutions.

• As SME, play a key role in technical discussions with Technical Director / Director - GPE and other SMEs in different group discussions on projects to advise on technical issues under review.

• Document the process reviews observations with clear action Items, and work closely with regional teams to support seeking final approvals from the Director- GPE and BS&P Paris office.

• Sharing your experiences by presenting to Process engineers globally on important technical topics, Pilot/Plant operating data, or new competitive technologies with recommendations from the GPE platform.

• Liaise with our Applications Development Center on treatability studies, optimized design

options for new projects and for new technologies and process approaches to enhance

VWTS competitive portfolio.

• Deliver expert advice and recommendations to the project execution team during

commissioning, performance tests, data analysis and participate in operator training when

needed.

• Develop & maintain database from operating plants to make operational decisions based on experiences from operating plants mitigating business risks & exposure.

• Lead to deliver techno economic modeling for selection of an optimum solution comparing different technologies / solutions for discussion as an expert with our customers.

Hard Skills:

• Significant experience in water, wastewater treatment process, equipment and design

optimization

• Expertise in extrapolating laboratory, skill simulations, and pilot studies to full scale design and performance

• Demonstrated skills in water and analytical chemistry

• Strong skills in technical report writing.

• Strong communication skills to facilitate process optimization projects between the internal engineering team and the customer.

Qualifications

Education & Experience Required:

• B.S. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or other equivalent technical discipline.

• 15 years+ engineering experience in the water and wastewater industry out of which 10+ years of experience reflects dedicated expertise, with in depth chemistry and analytical knowledge, experience in operating, optimizing, trouble-shooting pilot plants and/or full-scale plants, specific analytical skills including all wet chemistry, and knowledge of simulating all water and wastewater treatment processes. Basic lab experience is mandatory.

• Willing to travel internationally and locally up to 15-30%

• Fluent in English (written and verbal)

Preferred:

• M.S. or PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or other

equivalent technical discipline.

• Specific analytical skills to include GC-MS, ICP-MS, TOC, and LC.
