The Service Estimator is a role within the service group of ColonialWebb and is growing from two to three team members in 2025. This new position will support both the Charlottesville and Richmond service branches. The primary role is to generate higher productivity via quoting repair services (RS) and small projects. This is a fast- paced role that makes an impact for both internal and external customers. A hybrid work environment is available (Office, or combination office and work-from home.)

What you will do:
Quote most Repair Service (RS) that originates with Service Technicians. This includes:
Scope descriptions
Sourcing materials for best value, availability, etc.
Labor and material estimates using MS Excel quoting form
Log each opportunity for tracking purposes
Follow-up with clients and outside salespeople on existing quoted opportunities to maintain a close ratio of 68-70%
Process approvals including:
Generating Work Order with ColonialWebb software system
Issuing purchase orders to vendors/suppliers
Providing a deliverable package to ColonialWebb operations teams
You should have:
Organizational skills to include coordination and prioritization of work
Knowledge of keyboarding (minimum of 40wpm) and utilization of MS Office Products and estimating tools
Ability to pivot between activities in a way that will increase total sales team productivity
Ability to issue work orders and purchase orders efficiently
Ability to estimate regular service quotes
Possess or learn industry knowledge and vocabulary associated with mechanical systems
Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to deal diplomatically and effectively with customers
