Compensation Data

Description

  • This role is based on-site at our Ridgefield, CT location with hybrid flexibility of 2-3 days per week on-site.

To protect the assets of BIPIs and to provide support to the Director, Contract Compliance by: managing the administration of Administrative Fees (BIPI) Purchase Based Rebates (BIPI) and LTC Rebates (BIPI), in a timely and accurate manner that ensure the best positioning possible in the Managed Markets consistent with product revenue and operating profit goals. Within Contract Compliance, this individual will also provide support to the Director, Contract Compliance as it pertains to managing the terms and conditions of complex contractual rebate obligations to managed care, institutional, retail and wholesale customers for the life of the contract and ensure the accurate and timely validation, adjudication, analysis and communication of account performance results. The individual will also assess administrative feasibility of product and contract strategies and making recommendations for product launch strategies, enhance performance metrics and monitor ongoing results to as it pertains to growth trends and competitive activities, provide support for the ongoing needs of the department with respect to the design and development of innovative rebate systems (CARS / Data warehouse / Applications), ensure accuracy and completeness of data in the various systems for reporting, ensure compliance with State and Federal Regulations; manage special projects; support customer audits and assist in the settlement of disputes.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage (recruit, hire, coach, develop, and monitor performance) professional staff.

  • Set job expectations, provide regular feedback, conduct timely MAG Plan reviews, identify performance challenges, create action plans and monitor the effectiveness of those action plans.

  • Complete Development planning and competency assessment to ensure professional development of department members.

  • Ensure that all allocated positions are filled; cultivate network by facilitating cross department communication and projects.

  • Lead team toward continuous improvement and/or process design through analysis of existing processes. Facilitate the identification and implementation of process and procedures geared towards improving efficiency and productivity within the group.

  • Partner with the BIPI business to identify and analyze business needs and provide recommendations for technology solution to ensure sales performance meets or exceed expectations

  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with our customers / employees.

  • Enforce BI PI contracting policies and procedures.

  • Oversee and Manage the Contract Compliance processes as they pertain to the following: Administrative Fee process (BIPI); the Purchase Based Rebate process; and utilization based rebates. This also includes the setup of agreed upon contractual terms for off-invoice (chargeback).

  • Responsible for the ongoing needs of the department as it pertains to the above responsibilities with respect to the design and development of innovative rebate systems (CARS / Data warehouse / Applications);

  • Ensuring accuracy and completeness of data in the various systems for reporting; assessing administrative feasibility of product and contract strategies; ensuring compliance with State and Federal Regulations; managing special projects.

  • Oversee and manage the 340B analytical processes which include, but are not limited to: identification of duplicate payments with Medicaid claims, diversion analysis, good faith resolution with covered entities, working with states on Medicaid recovery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor´s degree from an accredited institution is required

  • MBA or advanced degree certification in marketing, economics, finance or healthcare management is strongly preferred

  • Requires eight to ten (8-10) years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical or related industry with six (6) years´ experience in a contracting, pricing, reimbursement, or managed markets role preferred.

  • Prior experience with external clients such as GPO´s or payors, writing and reviewing contractual language, and contract administration would be essential.

  • Strong leadership, communication, presentation and project management skills

  • Strong strategic thinking skills

  • Innovative and able to invent and create opportunities

  • Previous negotiation experience is preferred

  • History of successful performance

  • Proficiency in MSOffice, Outlook and database applications

  • Ability to travel (may include overnight travel)
